Sherman Hills Apartments is located in beautiful Luzerne County Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and consist of three hundred and forty four apartments. The Community has nine buildings that stretch over twenty two acres of property. One hundred and four one bedroom apartments are in our eight story high rise building. They were constructed especially for elderly or disabled households. Two hundred and forty one and two bedroom apartments are in eight garden style buildings. They were constructed for families and singles.

This community was developed in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s subsidized rental program. This program was designed for low income individuals and families. The rent is based on thirty percent of household's gross annual income.

The community is located near employment centers, shopping malls, the First Union Arena, Interstate 81 and Route 309, grocery stores, banks, Wal-Mart, and elementary schools are within walking distance. Center city is only ten minutes away with public bus transportation at the entrance of our community. Kings College and Wilkes University are located in the city of Wilkes-Barre and are within a three mile radius of our community. Luzerne Community College is within a five mile radius. We have students from all these schools residing in our community.
Leisure time can be spent at the numerous parks, athletic fields, or hiking down the trails or the banks of the Susquehanna River which are all centrally located in the Luzerne County area.
